Literature Text

This concrete road
holds no love for me.
These buildings built with
steel and greed
can't even spell love.
The walls tell me
I can buy happiness
and get three for the price of two
but only for today.

Take me back
to the place
where I can hear birds sing.
Where stars are in the sky
and not on the  flickering TV.
I long for trees growing wildly
and not in a line.

Where everything is flawlessly unperfect
and I don't have
to feel so restless.

This man made road
and these cars speeding by,
makes me edgy and nervous
that I'm not updated enough
to be a part of this.
Still, this voice inside me
asks me if
I really want to be that?

Take me back
to where road holds love
and where my heart feels safe.

Take me away from this
modern cold world
and give me back
the warmth of the Earth.

Take me back…
From a comment :iconicedrop21: made about ugly modern buildings… turned into my love for forests and the countryside XDD Yes, I confess, I am a small town girl at heart and I love forest and the quietness that no city in the world can provide.
Aaand I doubt there is a word such as “unperfect” but I thought it fitted with the flawlessly, so please don’t correct me on that word.
On the rest of the poem, please do tell if I made a mistake anywhere^^

Stay awesome people!

This is super! I can really relate to your feelings, sometimes I really miss to be in the forest, and surrounded by its whispers. :D
