Fragile Heart

I walk the streets
one step at a time,
never looking up

just staring blankly ahead.

Snow
all around me,
but I don't see it
I only notice the colour
_{or the lack of it}
and it makes me hollow inside.

My phone is vibrating
I can feel it,
but I don't want to answer
_{don't want to talk}
I already know
what they will say.

How I wish my heart was made
of something stronger
than paper,
then it wouldn't be
so easily torn.
